One of the most common questions when booking with Explora School & Club is choosing the right lesson type. There is no single answer: it depends on your experience, who you are travelling with and how many days you have at the resort. This guide helps you decide with confidence.

Private lessons: maximum personalisation

Ideal if you are travelling alone, as a couple or as a family with very different ability levels. Private lessons allow 1 to 8 participants with one instructor, and the content adapts to the group's pace. They are the best option for beginners who want to progress quickly, for refining technique or for working towards a specific goal (first day on red runs, switching to snowboard, etc.).

Standard duration: 2 hours. Enough to work in depth without finishing exhausted.

Half day: balance between price and progress

The half-day lesson (2 hours from 13:00) is perfect if you already have a morning lift pass and want a guided session after lunch. It also suits a first contact with snow if you prefer to try before committing to a full day.

It is very popular with families and groups of friends who want to share an instructor without the cost of a full day.

Full day: the complete experience

The Full Day option includes 5 hours of lessons plus 1 hour buffer, with hotel pick-up at the resort. It is designed for anyone who wants a complete experience without worrying about logistics: we pick you up, ski together and make the most of the day.

Recommended for beginners who visit only a few days a year and want real progress in a single trip, or for those who prefer to leave the day in professional hands and focus only on enjoying themselves.

Snowboard course: learn with your group

If you are three or more friends keen to learn snowboard, the 3-hour group course is a social and affordable option. You share an instructor, progress together and the group atmosphere motivates—especially among young people and adults starting from scratch.

Multi-day courses: for companies and sports clubs

If you are organising a corporate trip or a club outing, 2- to 5-day courses allow structured progression with the same instructor team. It is the format many companies use for snow team building and clubs that return season after season.

How to choose for your situation

If it is your first time on snow and you are travelling alone or as a couple, start with a 2-hour private lesson. If you are travelling with children, ask about our kids' lessons from age 3. If you have experience but have not skied for a while, a private session restores confidence quickly. If you have only one day and want to make the most of it, the full day is your best ally.
