At Explora School & Club, our instructors have tested the OhO sunshine goggles with a 4K camera in various situations, from sunny days on Veleta to blustery mornings in La Laguna. For this review, our Explora School & Club instructors put the OhO sunshine goggles through their paces in the diverse conditions Sierra Nevada offers. We used them over several days of skiing and snowboarding, from sunny days with spring snow to cold, windy mornings at high altitudes. The evaluation focused on lens quality (visibility, anti-fog resistance, field of view), comfort and fit with a helmet, and, naturally, the performance of the integrated camera. Videos were recorded on different slopes and at various speeds to assess image quality, stability, and the ease of using controls with gloves. Durability and battery autonomy in the cold were also key analysis points, aiming to provide a real-world perspective on their mountain performance.

The main advantage of integrated camera goggles like the OhO sunshine is convenience. They allow you to record video and take photos in first-person without the need for additional equipment, mounts, or cables. This reduces the weight and bulk you carry, and simplifies the capture process, as the camera always points where you look. It's ideal for those who want to capture spontaneous moments without interruption.

However, this integration also comes with limitations. The camera quality will rarely match that of a high-end dedicated action camera, especially regarding image stabilisation and recording mode versatility. Battery life is another critical point; by powering both the display and the camera, its autonomy is less than that of goggles without electronics. Furthermore, if the lens is damaged or the electronics fail, you lose two important functions in a single product. It's a compromise between convenience and specialised performance.

Filming in Sierra Nevada can be spectacular but requires some preparation. And a crucial tip: don't forget to enjoy the moment. The camera is a tool, not the main goal of your day on the snow.
